Green energy

With respect to electricity supply, hydropower is - in general - the most significant source of renewable energy today, and in most countries small hydropower plants are considered as " the green energy". In order to increase the share of renewable energy many countries subsidize this sector by different types of

grants and loans, and they organize green certificate schemes.
European Commission also give a clear signal that greater use of renewable energy is necessary to:

• create a sustainable energy system
• reduce society’s environmental impact
• ensure security of electricity supply

In the opinion of Panhydro, developing small hydropower plants is a great opportunity to have a profitable business and, at the same time, contribute in a positive way to create a sustainable energy system for the future.
